About
Start Here
AI Newbie is a free learning platform for anyone trying to find reliable practices to make use of AI Tools at work. There are a few tracks in progress and we are starting the first track for non-coders. Engineer’s track in progress!
Who this is for
You use AI in the cracks of the workday: a messy email, a Friday request, notes you never turned into actions. You don’t need a mascot to get started (Nubi can wait). You need a method you can repeat.
How we teach
Problem → intuition → jargon. We start with the situation you already recognize, then the mental model, then the words the industry uses. Each published article is a Work Recipe: task, method, output, verify, limits — with a copy-paste prompt when it earns its place.
Where to begin
- Read Vague Friday Requests Aren’t Briefs — Clarify First. Run it on one real request this week.
- Continue the series on the One Useful Task hub.
- Subscribe to the AI Newbie Brief when you want the next practice, not a news firehose.
Publishing
This website is canonical. After that: Medium, then Substack. If versions drift, trust the recipe here.
Responsible use
Fluency is not expertise. Don’t paste what you wouldn’t put on a postcard unless your workplace tool is approved for it. Article 3 in the series is the redaction habit.
